Stroke Index
The stroke index of a hole tells you how difficult it is to play. It also indicates how many shots you can adjust your score with. So, if your handicap is less than 18, you get a shot for every hole your handicap is less than the stroke index.

At present Sunley (3) will not be using the back tee position for competitions. This will depend upon feedback from golfers on whether this new tee position is too far back for all standards of play. The proposal is to use the back of the new general play area for competitions. Please pass on your comments to Head Greenkeeper Brian Pike, Grounds Manager David Roberts, Honorary secretary Tim Ostle or Competition Secretary Paul Lambeth.
