Guest Players and Club Café Facilities

Members may now bring guests to play the golf course. This will mean that all guest players will once again need to buy a guest green fee ticket from the Charterhouse Club Reception before playing. Please note that the Charterhouse Club’s opening hours have changed significantly and Reception is only open until 1.30pm each day Monday to Friday and 12.30pm weekends. Members wishing to play a round with a guest in the afternoon or evening will now need to think ahead and buy guest fees either in the morning of the day in question or at the weekend for the week ahead.

To facilitate this and in a change to the previous arrangements, Golf Club members will now be able to buy guest fees in advance of the intended play date. However, when buying the guest green fee, in order to comply with COVID19 Track and Trace measures you will need to state the date and time you and the guest intend to play. This information MUST be entered on to the green fee ticket as it is sold and will be recorded in the Green Fee sales book that is kept at Reception. Please note that if the you do not know when you intends to play with the guest or do not have the name of the guest, we cannot sell the guest green fee.

Please ensure that you deposit one half of the Guest Green Fee ticket in the box in the Hut and record the guest’s visit (date and time of play) in the book also in the Hut.

At present Sunley (3) will not be using the back tee position for competitions. This will depend upon feedback from golfers on whether this new tee position is too far back for all standards of play. The proposal is to use the back of the new general play area for competitions. Please pass on your comments to Head Greenkeeper Brian Pike, Grounds Manager David Roberts, Honorary secretary Tim Ostle or Competition Secretary Paul Lambeth.
Many thanks
